37 election cycles since 2009

The count starts the year he entered television, at Network18 (IBN7), and continues through NDTV: Lok Sabha and state assemblies, 37 cycles in all.

As Art Director, from November 2020, he directs election packaging from concept to air, and he packages every election and every Union Budget in that tenure. Budgets are named separately. They are not folded into the 37.

Why the graphics can keep up

The method he describes is automation. Template-driven dynamic scenes in Viz Artist, and UDT-based graphics in Wasp3D, remove repeated programming and copy-paste text entry. On an election night that is the difference between a number that updates and a scene that has to be rebuilt.

That system sits with virtual studios: sets on Viz Engine 5.3 built for large camera moves, and a trackless Wasp3D VSet on the regional launches. AR and VR are part of the election work, not a separate showreel category.

Wasp3D’s 12 June 2024 note and video say NDTV, including NDTV MP Chhattisgarh and NDTV Rajasthan, used the platform for live news and Lok Sabha coverage, with live data, 3D graphics, AR and multi-touch. They describe the stack on those channels. They do not name him.
